PCE Instruments PCE-Oe-LED Handheld Refractometer for Winemakers with LED Lighting

The PCE LED Refractometer is an analogue measuring device for determining the refraction property of different liquids. LED refractometers are particularly suitable for applications in low or artificially lit environments. The LED light incorporated in the prismatic cover of the LED Refractometer provides the necessary light for the measurement. Since the LED light is matched with the scaling of the LED refractometer, measurements are thus possible, for example, in basements without measurement errors caused by the artificial light. 
The different-scale LED refractometers are used for a variety of applications, such as Öchsle for the winegrower or a 0 ... 32 Brix scale for measuring coolants, juices and other emulsions. Due to the diopter adjustment possible on the eyepiece, an LED refractometer always ensures a sharp view of the scale.

Important notes:

• The prism cover and the prism should be kept clean; dirt impairs the measuring accuracy.
• Avoid scratches on the prism and the hinged cover; these also have a negative effect on the measurement.
• Do not use harsh, aggressive cleaning agents but only a damp cloth. Then dry the device well. Never clean the unit under water as this could enter the instrument.
• Avoid shocks and impacts as this can destroy the optics.
• Store the instrument in a dry place.
