Return Policy

By placing an order, you agree to this Return Policy along with our Terms & Conditions and Shipping Policy.

As an authorized distributor, return eligibility for many products is governed by the manufacturer's own return policy. Not all products can be returned. Check the product listing before purchasing.

General Return Eligibility

We accept returns on eligible products only when all of the following are true:

  • The return request is submitted within 30 calendar days of delivery (or within the period noted on the product page).
  • The product is unused, uninstalled, and in original manufacturer packaging in new, fully resalable condition.
  • All original accessories, documentation, manuals, cables, software, and warranty cards are included.
  • A valid RMA number has been issued by us before the item is shipped back.
  • The product is not listed as Non-Returnable on the product page.
  • The product is not a custom-made, special-order, or built-to-order item.

Do not ship anything back until you have an RMA number and return instructions. Items returned without an RMA will be refused and sent back at your expense.

Non-Returnable Products

The following are not eligible for return, refund, or exchange except for a confirmed manufacturer defect:

  • Products marked "Non-Returnable" on the product page.
  • Custom-made, built-to-order, or special-order items.
  • Items showing visible use, wear, installation, or damage.
  • Items missing original packaging or any components, accessories, or documentation.
  • Products from closeout or liquidation sales.
  • Opened consumables (ink, toner, labels, chemicals, adhesives, etc.).
  • Products with altered, removed, or illegible serial numbers.

Restocking Fee

Approved non-defective returns carry a restocking fee of up to 30%, deducted from the refund. The exact percentage depends on the manufacturer's policy and the product's condition.

A higher fee (up to 50%) may apply if the returned item is used, incomplete, or damaged. If the item isn't resalable, we may deny the return entirely and send it back at your expense.

If you place a replacement order for a comparable product before the return credit is processed, we may reduce the restocking fee from 30% to 15% at our discretion.

How to Return — Step by Step

Step 1: Request an RMA

Email info@selectumllc.com with:

  • Your Selectum order number
  • Manufacturer part number
  • Product serial number (if applicable)
  • Number of units to return
  • Your email address and phone number
  • Reason for the return
  • Whether you want a refund or exchange

Step 2: Receive Your RMA

Once approved, we'll email you an RMA number and the return shipping address. RMAs are valid for 14 calendar days. Items not shipped within that window may be refused.

Step 3: Pack the Item

  • Use the original manufacturer packaging, or place it inside a separate outer box.
  • Everything must be unassembled and packed exactly as received.
  • The return must be complete: all software, components, cables, manuals, documentation, and accessories.
  • Write the RMA number clearly on the outside of the shipping box. Don't write on or tape directly to the original product packaging.

Step 4: Ship It Back

  • Ship only to the address in your RMA instructions — not to our main address. We're not responsible for items sent to the wrong location.
  • Non-defective returns: ship prepaid and fully insured for the invoice amount via UPS, FedEx, or DHL with tracking and signature confirmation. Email us the tracking number.
  • Defective or damaged items: we'll provide a prepaid return label or carrier account number.

Step 5: Inspection

All returns are inspected when received. Allow 1–2 weeks for review. Receiving a return doesn't guarantee approval.

Step 6: Refund or Exchange

Refunds: once approved, we'll process within 5–7 business days and credit your original payment method, less any restocking fee and non-refundable shipping. Allow up to 48 hours for the credit to appear.

Exchanges: once the return is received, inspected, and approved, we'll ship your replacement and email you the tracking number.

Defective Products

If you receive a defective product, contact us at info@selectumllc.com within 30 calendar days of delivery. We replace confirmed defects at no restocking fee.

  • Email info@selectumllc.com with your order number, part number, serial number, a clear description of the defect, and photos if visible.
  • We may ask you to contact manufacturer support first. Products that need setup, configuration, or routine maintenance don't qualify as defective.
  • If confirmed defective, we'll send a prepaid return label and ship a replacement at no extra cost.
  • If the returned item is found to be working, we'll send it back at your expense. Manufacturer inspection fees may apply.
  • If you'd prefer a refund over a replacement, let us know when you request the RMA. A restocking fee of up to 30% may apply, plus shipping.
  • Defect claims after 30 days from delivery must go directly to the manufacturer as warranty claims.

Keep all original packaging. We cannot accept defective or shipping-damage claims if the original packaging has been discarded.

Shipping Damage

Check your package when it arrives. If it's damaged, follow these steps:

  • Do NOT refuse the delivery. A refused shipment is treated as an unauthorized return. Accept the package and document the damage instead.
  • Open the box, check the product, and take clear photos of both the packaging and the product.
  • Email info@selectumllc.com within 2 business days of delivery with your order number, photos, and a description of the damage.
  • We'll issue an RMA, provide a return label, and arrange a replacement or refund after inspection.

If a product returned for shipping damage is found undamaged on inspection, it may be returned to you at your expense with applicable fees.

Wrong Item Received

If we sent the wrong product, contact us within 7 calendar days of delivery. We'll issue an RMA, provide a return label, and ship the correct item at no charge. Inspect your order when it arrives — wrong-item requests after 7 days are handled case by case.

Unauthorized Returns

An unauthorized return is any return that doesn't follow this policy, including:

  • Returns without a valid RMA number.
  • Returns with an expired, invalid, or missing RMA number.
  • Shipments refused at delivery for non-damaged, non-defective items.
  • Returns shipped after the 14-day RMA period expires.
  • Freight-collect returns not approved in advance.

We will generally refuse unauthorized returns and send them back at your expense with no refund. If we choose to accept one at our discretion, a restocking fee of at least 30% applies plus all shipping costs.

Return Policy Abuse

We may refuse any return that appears fraudulent, abusive, or inconsistent with this policy. Customers with a pattern of irregular returns may be restricted from future purchases.

Manufacturers track serial numbers. If you return an item not purchased from Selectum, it will be sent back at your expense. Repeat attempts will result in no return and no refund.

Changes
