Martindale High Speed Steel V-Cutters are primarily designed for undercutting mica and slotting risers of commutators. Because mica is very abrasive and varies in hardness, these cutters are engineered to perform through a combination of crushing, grinding, and conveying rather than simple shearing. They are suitable for use on either portable or stationary equipment with spindle speeds ranging from 1,500 to 3,500 r.p.m..
