Chip Shields can also help minimize coolant or liquids from splashing during drying operations. They help meet the requirements of OSHA 1910.242(b) for safe use of compressed air. Safety Air Guns with or without an Aluminum Extensions can use Chip Shields. Chip Shields are not for use on guns that use a Stay Set Hose.
