A lifting chain minimizes the manual labor associated with maneuvering heavy oversized dock boards. The chains provide a central point to be securely grasped by a lifting device, such as a fork lift. A bracket with a knob for quick hand tightening is included and can be attached to the side of a dock board to assist with the chain tightening.
