Vaisala HMP7 Relative Humidity and Temperature Probe for High Humidities 18-30 VDC IP66

Vaisala HUMICAP® Humidity and Temperature Probe HMP7 is designed for applications which involve constant high humidity or rapid changes in humidity such as drying and test chambers, combustion air and other humidifiers and meteorological measurements where measurement performance and chemical tolerance are essential. The HMP7 is part of the Indigo product family and compatible with Indigo500, Indigo300 and Indigo200 series transmitters and free Insight PC Software.

Vaisala is the original innovator of the thin-film capacitive humidity measurement technology, which has now become the industry standard in humidity measurement.

No condensation at extreme humidity

Probe heating functionality heats up the whole probe head. When probe temperature is heated above dew point temperature, condensation on the probe can be avoided.

Flexible connectivity

The probe is plug and play compatible with Vaisala Indigo series transmitters, can be used as a standalone digital Modbus RTU transmitter, or connected to Vaisala Insight™ PC Software.

Vaisala HMP7 HUMICAP® Humidity and Temperature Probe is designed for demanding industrial applications where high accuracy and stable measurements are essential. This high temperature rated probe can also be used in high humidity or condensing environments if the heating function is enabled. When the heating function is enabled, the instrument is only able to measure dew point. The operating temperature range for this product is -40 ... +180 °C (-40 ... +356 °F).

This probe can function as a standalone instrument with Modbus RTU communication, otherwise it is compatible with the Indigo Transmitters if analog outputs, relays, or a display are needed. In addition to relative humidity and temperature, this probe provides values for a number of other  calculated parameters such as ppm, absolute humidity, dew point, enthalpy, mixing ratio, wet bulb (all available in both metric (°C) and non-metric (°F) units).

The Vaisala HUMICAPR2® sensor is immune to particulate and water condensation, oil vapor and most chemicals. The HMP7 Probe includes a chemical purge feature to provide further protection against harsh chemicals.
