The quantitative electroscope is ideal for measuring the strength of an electrostatic charge. A well-balanced vane rotates in response to an electrical charge. The angle measurements printed on the back show different positions in increments of 10 degrees up to 90°. The stronger the charge the greater the deflection.
The metal case has a diameter of 5" and is 3" deep to help reduce the influence of air currents. The top plate is 3" in diameter. Includes activity guide.
Features:
- Wide walls to reduce the effects of air currents
- Well-balanced and sensitive vane
- Easy to read protractor
- Includes activity guide
