Overview

Mini RF over Fiber Transmitter & Receiver kit supporting a frequency range of 100Mhz to 4000Mhz (4Ghz) Functioning transparent RF fiber links

Using copper as a medium has a sizable limitation due to significant loss, hence why using fiber optic RF over Transmitter and Receivers solve the distance transport problem.

It is used in many RF over fiber applications like communications, defense systems, satellite L-band, S-band, GPS, WiMAX, cellular 3G, 4G and LTE signals.

DAS system linking the Base Station (BS) to single or multiple Remote Antenna Units (RAU)

The unit has SMA 50ohm electrical interfaces and FC/APC optical, base mode operates on 1310nm and supports distance of up to 20km over single mode fiber.

These units do NOT support Multimode fiber.

Customized units are also available for long haul distance or optical wavelength.

Fiber Optics provide several other significant network advantages, including simplified network design, ease of installation, and immunity from EMI/RFI and lightning.

Features:

  • Compact size
  • Flat frequency response
  • Low power consumption
  • Flat frequency response
  • Excellent EMI/EMC design
  • Automatic optical power control
  • High dynamic input and output range
  • Wide operating frequency from 100MHz to 4GHz

Applications

  • Antenna remoting
  • GPS signal transport
  • Wireless signal transport
  • All-Digital QAM network
  • Data and video distribution
  • Distributed antenna system
  • DAS systems
  • 4G LTE over fiber
  • WiMAX over Fiber
  • BTS - DAS Fiber Transport
  • Avionics
  • RF Radio Over fiber (RoF)

NOTE: it is very important to interface unit with FC/APC - Angle Polished Connector to avoid any light reflections.

If your fiber is terminated with the  SC, ST, FC /PC flat connector, you need to use an optical jumper from PC type to FC/APC for proper conversion.
