The 4V130E-1/8 is a pneumatic directional solenoid valve with a four-way operation & five ports (P = Pressure, A = Outlet, EA = Exhaust for port A). Four-way, three-position valves are generally used to fully extend a double acting (air return) cylinder, or in applications with similar operation. The center position can be configured as Closed Center (to passively stop a cylinder in its current position), Exhaust Center (to allow the cylinder to freely move, i.e. be hand-adjusted), or Pressure Center (to actively stop a cylinder in its current position, with pressure on both ends).
