Merit™ Metzenbaum-Lahey Dissecting Scissors are most commonly used for dissecting and cutting tissue. These scissors are not recommended for cutting sutures, drains, or heavy tissue. Metzenbaum-Lahey scissors tend to be shorter than traditional Metzenbaum scissors. Metzenbaum Scissors are identifiable by their long, thin shanks and jaws that are relatively short.
