Sklar's® Tischler Universal Style Biopsy Punch Canula and Tip is part of an OB/GYN instrument. This product attaches to a universal style handle and together the complete instrument they create are biopsy punch forceps. They are often used in colposcopy procedures to obtain cervical tissue samples for biopsy. The bite of this standard Tischler punch is 3mm x 7mm and it produces an oval shaped tissue sample. A standard size biopsy punch may produce greater bleeding than a mini or baby punch; however, with certain diagnoses it is necessary to obtain a larger tissue sample. The length of this product, which is the cannula and the tip only, is approximately 8 inches.
