The Sklar Black™ Steiner-Auvard Weighted Vaginal Speculum is a single end vaginal speculum commonly used in laser OB/GYN procedures such as vaginal hysterectomy or dilation and curettage. This speculum features extra long blades, measuring 5-1/2" x 1-1/4". It is weighted with a medium, 2-1/2 lb. weight. Sklar Black™ Laser instruments feature a non-reflective black polymer coating applied over the sandblasted instrument developed specifically for laser surgeries. This safe, durable coating reduces laser reflection to less than one-tenth of a percent, ensuring a safer surgical environment for patients and surgical staff. All Sklar Black™ coated instruments comply with biological testing requirements for cytotoxicity, sensitization regulatory, and ISO 10993 requirements. They also comply with the Pre-Vacuum and Gravity Cycle Steam Sterilization Validation of ANSI/AAMI ST79. Sklar Black™ laser coatings are guaranteed for one year against manufacturing defects. This product does not have a smoke evacuation tube.
