Sklar's® Garrigue Weighted Vaginal Speculum is an OB/GYN instrument used for examination of, or procedures within, the vaginal canal or cervix. While the speculum is considered self-retaining due to the weight and may allow the user's hands to be free, the blade is shallow and the weights available may not provide an adequate amount of retraction of the posterior wall. The practitioner can best determine if a weighted speculum is most appropriate for the exam or procedure to be completed. This product has a 2-1/2 lb. weight, which is considered the medium weight, and a 3" x 1-1/2" blade.
