The Sklar Black™ Joseph Skin Hook is a handheld retractor commonly used for holding back the edges of skin during laser intranasal and pharyngeal procedures. It is available with a single or dual prong, sharp hook. The handle is often round and knurled and it tapers to the hook end. Sklar Black™ Laser instruments feature a non-reflective black polymer coating applied over the sandblasted instrument developed specifically for laser surgeries. This safe, durable coating reduces laser reflection to less than one-tenth of a percent, ensuring a safer surgical environment for patients and surgical staff. All Sklar Black™ coated instruments comply with biological testing requirements for cytotoxicity, sensitization regulatory, and ISO 10993 requirements. They also comply with the Pre-Vacuum and Gravity Cycle Steam Sterilization Validation of ANSI/AAMI ST79. Sklar Black™ laser coatings are guaranteed for one year against manufacturing defects. This product is straight with a sharp, double prong, hook tip and a length of 6-1/4 inches. The space between the two prongs is 10mm.
