Sklar's® Andrew Osteotome is typically used to chip away at the mastoid bone in procedures related diseases of the ear or mastoid processes. Similar to the Andrew Mastoid Chisel, it is a heavy, solid instrument with a sharp, beveled tip; however, an osteotome is bevelled on both sides whereas a chisel is bevelled on only one. The osteotome is also available in various widths and used in conjunction with a mallet to chisel away at portions of bone. This product is straight with a 9mm tip and an overall length of 6 inches.
