Sklarlite™ Sklarcut™ Mayo Dissecting Scissors are a lighter version of the standard Mayo scissors that also feature ultra-fine serrations on one blade. The lightweight modification provides the surgeon with greater control and less fatigue, while the micro-serrations reduce trauma as well as securely hold the tissue during cutting. Mayo Scissors are a versatile instrument that can be used in multiple procedures and settings. They are available straight or curved in a variety of lengths with a standard beveled blade. While the curved instrument is most commonly utilized for cutting or dissecting dense or deep tissue, and the straight version is typically used for cutting surface tissue or sutures, both may be used interchangeably depending on procedure and physician preference. Sklarlite™ Sklarcut™ scissors are identified by a single gold coated finger ring for the serrated blade. This product is curved with one micro-serrated blade, blunt/blunt tips and a length of 6-3/4 inches.
