Sklar's® Wire Eye Speculum is an opthalmic instrument used to separate and hold open the eyelids. The tension in this spring wire device allows the lightweight, open wire to gently retracts both the top and bottom eyelids without excessive pressure on the globe. The choice of eye speculum is typically dependent upon the anatomical nature of the patient's eyes as well as the specific procedure being performed. This product is an adult speculum with closed wire blades that facilitates the use of a temporal approach in surgery. The overall length is 1-1/2 inches.
