Sklar® TC Halsey Needle Holders are ratcheted, finger ring instruments used for holding small needles for suturing, most commonly during plastic surgery and procedures with delicate tissue, such as dermatology. They are available with smooth or delicately serrated jaws. Smooth jaws will cause the least damage to the needle; however, serrated jaws hold the needle more tightly. Physician preference typically determines the type of working surface utilized. Sklar permanently bonds tungsten carbide inserts to the instrument, which maximizes control and precision. This product is a left-handed product. It is straight with smooth tips and a length of 5 inches.
