Sklar's® tungsten carbide New Orleans needle holder is a ratcheted, finger ring instrument for holding and controling needles during suturing. The tip of this instrument is short, cross-serrated, and features a single center groove which provides a secure hold on the needle. TC instruments are designed to stay sharp for a significantly longer period of time than other standard instruments. Sklar permanently bonds tungsten carbide inserts to the instrument, which maximizes control and precision. TC instruments are identified by gold handles.
