Sklar Edge™ TC Supercut Sklarhone™ Stevens Tenotomy Scissors are used for delicate dissection and cutting, commonly in ophthalmologic, neurological, and plastic surgery procedures. Tenotomy scissors have long handles and small, sharp blades with sharp or blunt wedge-shaped tips. The long handles allow the surgeon to have an adequate grip and control while dissecting or cutting in small or narrow areas. Stevens tenotomy scissors are available straight or curved and with sharp or blunt tips, in order to accommodate different procedures. Sharp tips allow precise dissection and cutting of delicate tissue, while blunt tipped blades are used more often for dissecting and cutting mucus membranes. Sklar Edge™ TC Supercut Sklarhone™ scissors provide effortless, precise cutting. These scissors feature one knife-like razor edge and one micro-serrated edge along with the strength and durability of tungsten carbide. They can be used to cut both delicate and heavy tissue with minimal tearing or pulling. Sklar permanently bonds tungsten carbide inserts to the blades of the scissors which maximizes control and precision. These scissors are also designed to stay sharp for a significantly longer period of time than standard scissors. This instrument can be identified by its handle of one black finger ring and one gold finger ring. This product is curved with one razor edge blade, one micro-serrated edge blade, sharp tips, and an overall length of 4-1/2 inches.
