Sklar Edge™ TC Supercut Sklarhone™ Metzenbaum-Nelson Bariatric Scissors are long dissecting scissors most commonly used in Bariatric Surgeries such as gastric bypass, gastric banding, and sleeve gastrectomy. They are also used in Nephrectomy, Cystectomy, and Prostatectomy procedures to dissect and cut tissue. Metzenbaum-Nelson scissors tend to be longer than standard Metzenbaum scissors which make them ideal for use in thoracic procedures as well. These scissors are not recommended for cutting sutures or drains. Sklar Edge™ TC Supercut Sklarhone™ scissors provide effortless, precise cutting. They feature one knife-like razor edge and one micro-serrated edge along with the strength and durability of tungsten carbide. They can be used to cut both delicate and heavy tissue with minimal tearing or pulling. Sklar permanently bonds tungsten carbide inserts to the blades of the scissors which maximizes control and precision. These scissors are also designed to stay sharp for a significantly longer period of time than standard scissors. This instrument can be identified by its handle of one black finger ring and one gold finger ring. This product is curved, has one razor edge blade, one micro-serrated edge blade, blunt tips, and an overall length of 10 inches.
