Sklarcut™ Metzenbaum-Nelson Bariatric Scissors are long dissecting scissors most commonly used in Bariatric Surgeries such as gastric bypass, gastric banding, and sleeve gastrectomy. They are also used in Nephrectomy, Cystectomy, and Prostatectomy procedures to dissect and cut tissue. Metzenbaum-Nelson scissors tend to be longer than standard Metzenbaum scissors which make them ideal for use in thoracic procedures as well. These scissors are not recommended for cutting sutures or drains. Sklarcut™ scissors feature micro-serrations on one blade to reduce trauma when cutting both delicate and course tissue. These serrations assist in securely holding the tissue during cutting and minimizes tissue from slipping so the most accurate and clean cuts can be made. Sklarcut™ scissors are identified by a single gold coated finger ring on the handle of the serrated blade. This product is curved, has one micro-serrated blade, blunt tips, and an overall length of 9 inches.
