Sklarcut™ Mayo Dissecting Scissors are a variation of standard Mayo Scissors that feature ultra-fine serrations on one blade to reduce trauma when cutting both delicate and course tissue. These serrations assist in securely holding the tissue during cutting and minimizes tissue from slipping so the most accurate and clean cuts can be made. These scissors are a versatile instrument that can be used in multiple procedures and settings. They are available straight or curved, in a variety of lengths, and have a standard beveled blade. While the curved instrument is most commonly utilized for cutting or dissecting dense or deep tissue, and the straight version is typically used for cutting surface tissue or sutures, both may be used interchangeably depending on procedure and physician preference. Sklarcut™ scissors are identified by a single gold coated finger ring for the serrated blade. This product is curved with blunt/blunt tips and a length of 6-3/4 inches.
