Sklar's® Sterile, Disposable Scalpel #22 is a larger version on the #10 Scalpel Blade. It has a curved cutting edge and a flat, unsharpened back edge. The #22 blade is larger than both the #20 and #21 blades. It is compatible with the #4 series and larger handles. This blade is commonly used in cardiac and thoracic procedures to make incisions in the bronchus.
