This ready-to-use, Playback Starter Kit provides everything needed to use smart cards with existing applications and embedded controllers. The kit includes a WAVE ID Writer, WAVE ID Playback Reader, WAVE ID Card Manager software and sample cards. The kit solves computer access control issues by providing access to existing back-end server infrastructures and building access investments through contactless smart cards without adding software to the client or server. The costs associated with training, pilot tests, software licenses, upgrades, incompatibilities are negligible since no software is deployed.

Features

Easy Interface: No software is required on the server or client. Utilizes a plug-n-play USB, RS-232, or Wiegand output. The Playback seamlessly interfaces with any system or existing software. It reads and sends back as keystrokes. User data provides seamless integration, which can be used for a one- or two-factor logon application. Existing software such as; PLCs, point-of-sale terminals, and other equipment can be interfaced with the Playback RS-232 reader. The reader sends data as ASCII characters.

Multi-Application Solution: Allows for several applications to be stored on a single contactless credential.

Security: Contactless smart cards offer unique features, such as cryptographic data storage, mutual authentication, secure reading/writing of data, and user-defined access keys.
