It is a threaded pipe fitting designed to add a 90 degree angle to a piping system. A Street Elbow is a type of pipe elbow fitting with male threads on one end and female threads at the other. Unlike a normal elbow, a street 90° has a external threads on one end and internal threads in the other.

Threaded street elbow fittings are widely used in plumbing and in piping systems, designed to facilitate a 90 degree change in direction while saving space. These threaded fittings are essentially pipe elbows with male (external) threads on one end and female (internal) threads on the other end. This enables it to connect to pipes or fittings at a 90 degree right angle. The male thread screws into a female threaded component, while the female thread connects to a pipe or to male threaded fitting or component. This street 90 fitting is manufactured out of stainless steel ensuring resistance to corrosion as well as longevity in a variety of environments. This male to female elbow has an advantage over traditional elbow fittings in that they have male and female threads, which enable them to save space when connecting to a female threaded component, like a tee fitting. A traditional pipe elbow will require a pipe nipple to connect to another female thread.

Installation:

• Thread the male NPT threads into a female NPT thread.
• Thread the female NPT threads onto a male NPT thread.
