3/8" Pipe nipples are short lengths of 3/8" pipe with male threads at both ends, used to connect two female threaded fittings or components. The small size of the 1/4-inch pipe nipple make it suitable for various applications including plumbing and industrial settings, air and water systems, oil and gas pipelines, and pneumatic systems. They are also often used for joining sections of piping, extending 3/8" pipe lengths, and connecting various components with 3/8" Female Threads. Uses:

• 3/8" x 2" NPT pipe nipples are an easy way to add 2 inches of a 3/8" pipe.
• They are also used to connect two 3/8" fittings at a distance less than 2 inches apart.
• Used to connect 2" of piping to threaded fittings, valves, pumps and other equipment with 3/8" Female Threads.

Installation: Thread the 3/8" Male Thread into a 3/8" Female Thread.

Size Classification: A pipe nipple is classified first according to the size of the pipe thread and then by the length of the pipe.

How to measure length: A pipe nipple is measured in terms of Over All Length (OAL), this means from end to end including the threads.
