A Merchant Pipe Coupling is a short length of pipe with female pipe threads on either side. This Threaded Coupling is a short machined pipe with female NPT threads on either side.

Uses:

• They are used to connect two male pipe threads.
• A Threaded Pipe Coupling is used to connect two pipes together or two male threaded fittings.
• They can also be used to change a male NPT thread into a female NPT thread.

Advantages:

• Stainless Steel Machined Full Couplings have a smaller diameter than cast couplings and fit closers to the pipe.
• This is useful where space is limited and when connecting pipes or fittings in confined spaces where a protruding coupling would not fit.

Installation: Thread one or both of the female NPT threads onto a male NPT thread.
