Overview

The Heat Stress Meter / WBGT Meter is used to assess heat stress in working environments, sports facilities or industrial plants. It is used both indoors and outdoors to precisely measure climatic conditions and ensure the safety of people exposed to heat.

The measuring range of the device covers a large number of climate-relevant variables: The WBGT value can be recorded from 0 ... 50°C / 32 ... 122°F, the sphere temperature (TG) ranges from -20 ... 125°C / -4 ... 257°F, as does the air temperature (AIR). The dew point (DP) is measured between -20...60°C / -4 ... 140°F, the wet bulb temperature (WB) covers the same range. The device also records the relative humidity (RH%) in the range from 0 to 100%.

The Heat Stress Meter / WBGT Meter offers a range of practical functions that make everyday use particularly easy. In addition to the display of MIN, MAx, HOLD and AVG, it is possible to switch between indoor and outdoor mode. The integrated data logger with 8 MB memory records up to around 260,000 measured values, which can be easily transferred to a PC via USB-C. Suitable software is available for reading out and analyzing the data, with which measurement series can be clearly displayed and saved. The storage interval can be flexibly set from 0 seconds to 10 minutes.

An acoustic, adjustable WBGT alarm provides additional safety, while the real-time display, automatic switch-off and customizable standby mode ensure convenient operation. With switchable units between °C and °F, an easy-to-read 1.8-inch LCD display, USB-C charging function, compact design and a 46 mm diameter sensor ball, this device is handy, versatile and easy to use.

A Heat Stress Meter / WBGT Meter of this type is indispensable for health and safety officers, safety engineers, sports coaches or event organizers who need to monitor heat stress. It provides reliable data for recognizing risks and taking preventative measures. Thanks to its versatility, the Heat Stress Meter / WBGT Meter is suitable for professional use as well as for research and training purposes.
