Safeguarding sensitive electronic components in manufacturing and handling environments requires precise measurement technology. The Surface Testing - Surface Resistance Meter is the indispensable, portable instrument for quickly and reliably checking the surface resistance of materials in ESD-controlled areas.

The Surface Testing - Surface Resistance Meter is battery-operated and has integrated parallel electrodes that enable direct testing of the material surface resistance. Thanks to the automatic test voltage selector, the surface resistance tester guarantees maximum measurement accuracy across all relevant ranges. The test voltage automatically switches from 10 V to 100 V as soon as the measured resistance exceeds the value of 1 x 10⁵ ohms.

Two banana sockets allow the connection of external electrodes weighing around 2.25 kg. With these additional components, the Surface Testing is able to perform professional compliance measurements, such as resistance point-to-point (RTT) or resistance to ground (RTG). The measurement data obtained with this Surface Testing is essential to ensure adherence to a compliance verification plan (ANSI/ESD S20.20-2007).

The Surface Testing is ideal for use in electronics production, for testing ESD work mats, workbenches and floor coverings or even in laboratory environments and for quality assurance.
