PCE Instruments PCE-FST-100-2010-NMS Sound Sensor for Measuring Noise Levels 12 to 24 V DC

The Sound Sensor is ideal for all applications where ambient noise or noise levels need to be monitored precisely. Whether in urban noise measurement stations, on factory floors, in schools or in research projects - this Sound Sensor provides reliable measured values to fulfil safety and comfort requirements. The sensor covers a measuring range of 30 ... 120 dBA and operates in the frequency range from 20 ... 12500 Hz. The resolution is typically 1 dB, which is sufficient for most practical applications, while the accuracy is ±2% of the measuring range plus ±0.5 dB, based on the reference tone of 94 dB at 1 kHz. The Sound Sensor therefore provides a precise and reliable basis for all acoustic measurements.

The specific technical features include a digital interface via RS-485 with Modbus RTU, which enables easy integration into existing systems. The sensor utilizes a high-quality condenser microphone with A-weighting, which takes into account the human sense of hearing. The response time is a maximum of 2 seconds.
