Castable acrylics are easy to use and highly durable. Their primary advantage is a fast curing time. Depending on the mixing ratio, castable acrylic mounts are typically ready for use within 8-15 minutes.

Unlike epoxy resins, the ratio between the acrylic components-powder and liquid-can be adjusted by up to 25% without negatively affecting the final properties of the mount. This flexibility is possible because both the liquid and powder are acrylic-based materials containing various additives and curing agents.

By adjusting the liquid-to-powder ratio, the curing time and viscosity of the mixture can be controlled to meet specific application requirements.

PACE Technologies SUPERMOUNT GRAH-3000 is a glass-filled acrylic castable mounting liquid hardener designed for metallographic specimen preparation. It provides a hard, opaque mount, typically curing in 10-12 minutes, ideal for protecting edges and offering proper specimen orientation during grinding and polishing.

Application:

The GRAH-3000 liquid is usually paired with Supermount powder to create a durable, opaque mount suitable for automated or manual grinding/polishing.
