Omicron 1013380 Cellulose Extraction Thimbles 33 mm x 100 mm, 1.5 mm

OMICRON Cellulose Extraction thimbles are produced from high purity alpha cellulose cotton linter, primarily used in a Soxhlet Apparatus for Solid-Liquid Extraction (SLE) for a mixture of solids and semi-solids in the estimation of fats or pesticides in food and solid material, analysis of lacquer and binder in paints, vitamin A and carotene extractions. OMICRON Cellulose Extraction Thimbles are also used for crude oil sampling to determine amounts of oil in oil water slurries and cold stack air monitoring. High-performance cellulose extraction thimbles are produced from high quality α-cellulose cotton linter and have excellent mechanical strength and retention. Thimble walls are approximately 1.5 mm thick and have been found to perform satisfactory in applications requiring either a single or double wall thickness. The dimensions are matched exactly to those of the thimble holders to ensure optimum fit.
