A baffled bottom enhances gas exchange and oxygen dissolution in the culture medium, but may also increase shear stress on cells. Erlenmeyer flasks are ideal for suspension cell and bacterial cultures, and are also well-suited for medium preparation, mixing, and storage. Individually packaged in sterile bags. An injection-molded scale on the flask body allows easy monitoring of liquid volume. Flask reusable 5-6 times, can be autoclaved. The vent caps are not autoclavable, but sterile replacement caps can be purchased separately.
