Swab head is flocked nylon, and swab shaft is made of ABS (Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene). Micro-fine nylon fibers are attached vertically to the tip of the medical-grade handle. The vertical nylon fiber swab acts like a soft brush for better collection of samples and immediate release into the transport medium. Improved patient comfort and efficiency of sample collection.

Non-toxic. Swabs are DNase/RNase free and no human DNA. Individually wrapped and sterile. VTM medium (Viral Transport Medium) Used for collection, storage and transportation of human nasopharyngeal virus samples. Sample transport temperature requirement & storage time: 2 to 4 C°, 48h. Unused VTM medium can be transported at room temperature. Samples can be stored at room temperature for 20 days. Downstream applications include, shell vial culture, antigen rapid tests, direct fluorescence assays, Immunofluorescence assays, nucleic acid amplification based tests e.g. qPCR.
