Motic's BA210 is designed for both educational and teaching environments from basic life sciences to medical applications. Through the well-known Motic Infinity Optical concept (CCIS®) as a basis for the upgraded EC Plan Achromatic objectives, the BA210 delivers a fully corrected intermediate image for crisp and clear visual and digital results in a 20mm Field of View. The 3W LED light source in a Fixed-Koehler setup gives adequate power resources for upgrading the microscope with contrast methods like Phase contrast, Polarization or Darkfield. The Motic BA210 is a robust student instrument that brings professional, repeatable image results from all intended applications.

A student proof concept for rough use

Motic's BA210 is designed for demanding educational environments. The hard-coated stage allows a safe and durable evaluation of diverse samples. The BA210 standard eyepiece tubes feature a 30° viewing angle for maximum comfort. The interpupillary distance of 55-75mm can easily be adjusted, following individual conditions. The trinocular tube option with a 20/80 light split if activated allows the adaption of digital camera systems and the presentation of microscopic images to a larger public.

EC plan optics for reliable image results

The complete series of EC Plan Achromatic objectives, from 4X to 100X magnification, is targeting an improved image contrast both for human eye and digital camera sensor through the photo port. Especially in Phase contrast, the optional objectives (positive & negative Phase) show a remarkable diversity for a wide range of applications. The N-WF eyepieces start with the standard 10X/20 mm Field of View and provide a diopter adjustment (+/-5dpt) for both eyes, ready for the use of optional reticles.

LED illumination

The BA210 microscope features a well-evaluated 3W LED illumination system in a Fixed Koehler setup. The importance of LEDs as safe and long-term illumination sources has increased especially in teaching environments as lifetime and reduced heat production are superior to Halogen bulbs. For field work without mains supply, an optional mirror can be attached. A high-quality condenser with NA 1.25 and aperture diaphragm is implemented for visualization of weakly or non-stained samples.

Integrated in Motic's series of upright microscopes

For further use of optional accessories, the BA210 is integrated into Motic's Upright microscope system. An upgrade with Phase contrast (positive and negative) in a slider solution, simple Darkfield as well as Polarization contrast for the detection of birefringence can easily be performed. The BA210 easily exceeds the limits of a basic upright microscope, allowing advanced contrast methods for teaching environments within a small budget.
