Overview

Parker's Threshold Sensor fitting detects the pressure drop when a cylinder reaches the end of its stroke. They produce a pneumatic or electrical output signal when the pressure drop in the exhaust chamber of the cylinder goes below their back pressure threshold. Threshold sensor fittings are compact and can be mounted on the cylinder, on the control valve or on a terminal block provided it is between the cylinder and the flow control. For accuracy, the flow control regulator should be positioned as close as possible to the cylinder. It can also be fitted to a sensor fitting mounted on the cylinder.

Markets:

  • Factory/Process Automation
  • Packaging
  • Pneumatics
  • Semi-conductor

Features:

  • No adjustment to position detectors is necessary
  • Totally pneumatic installation
  • 2 possible installations:
    1. Supplied with permanent pressure (P1): produces a pneumatic signal when the back pressure threshold is reached
    2. Supplied from the control valve-cylinder circuit on the opposite side: no unexpected pneumatic signal (S) can appear during pressurisation due to the actuating pressure which supplies the sensor fitting (P1)
  • Polymer body
  • Pneumatic version use with air piloted valve and solenoid piloted valve
  • No limit switch
  • Mounting flow control directly on sensor provides an additional benefit of control without adding additional fittings

Applications:

  • Sequence valve signal
  • Pilot valve
