IBI Scientific IB94300 MaGELin Precast Mini Gel System

The IBI Ma-GEL-In Mini Protein system for precast gels is a truly versatile mini protein system designed to accommodate Novex or Expedion 10x10 precast gels. System allows for the running of two gels simultaneously or one gel with the use of the included buffer dam inserted into the gel capture device. When not running gels this unit can also perform Western Transfers with the addition of the IB95000 Western Transfer module. Unit come complete with:

• Buffer tank and vented lid
• Power cords
• Buffer dam
• Dual gel capture device

Features:

• Cast two 10 cm x 10 cm polyacrylamide gels simultaneously
• Stand contains two gaskets for sealing bottom of gel sandwich
• Open top allows for comb and easy casting

Options for Cooling a Vertical Gel System

• The user can make up buffer ice cubes (use same buffer that they are running their gel in.) These can be placed in the buffer tank while running the gel to cool it.
• For the MaGELin systems, an ice pack can be purchased in placed in the buffer tank to cool it down. The product # is IB92080.

Which pre-cast gels can be used for this system?

• (Fisher's) Expedeon Gels - These are the PAGE gels (little gels).
• Invitrogen (Life Technologies) gels - NuPAGE gels or Novex.
