IBI Liquid Tryptic Soy Broth (TSB), also known as Soybean-Casein Digest Medium or Trypto Soy Broth, is a versatile, nutrient-rich liquid culture medium used for the cultivation of a broad spectrum of microorganisms, including aerobes, anaerobes, and fungi. This general-purpose medium is widely utilized in microbiological quality control, pharmaceutical testing, and clinical diagnostics due to its ability to support the growth of both non-fastidious and fastidious organisms.

The formulation includes Casein Peptone and Soy Peptone, which provide essential sources of nitrogen, amino acids, and growth factors. These components enable the proliferation of fastidious microorganisms without the need for additional supplements such as blood or serum. Sodium Chloride maintains osmotic balance by supplying electrolytes, Dextrose serves as the fermentable carbohydrate for microbial energy, and Dipotassium Phosphate acts as a buffering agent to maintain pH stability during incubation.
