IBI Scientific IB02025 Carbenicillin Disodium Salt 25 g

IBI Carbenicillin Disodium is a semi-synthetic antibiotic which interferes with cell wall synthesis of gram negative bacteria by inactivating transpeptidases on the inner surface of the cell membrane. Carbenicillin displays low toxicity to plant tissues.

IBI Carbenicillin is commonly used as a selective antibiotic for resistive Agrobacterium and E. coli at typical concentrations of 100 - 500 ug/ml in water. A stock solution of antibiotics dissolved in H2O should be sterilized by filtration through a 0.22-micron filter.
