If toxic and flammable gases and vapors need to be monitored outside Ex zones, the CS22 D transmitter is a reliable and economical solution. The CS22 D transmits measured values and status notifications on a digital (RS-485) signal, while also displaying them on site. In the event of an alarm, it will warn everyone in the vicinity using its internal buzzer. In combination with GfG's reliable controllers, it can be installed in new gas detection systems or retrofitted into existing ones.

The CS22 D uses chemisorption (CS) to detect flammable and toxic gases such as ammonia, methane and numerous refrigerants. The current measured value is indicated on the 2.2-inch display, which lights up red in the event of an alarm. The long-life sensors make the CS22 D an economical solution for detecting R-513A (C₃H₂F₄, C₂H₂F₂) in measuring range 0(30) - 2,000 ppm. Its automatic temperature compensation and the linearization of the measurement signals ensure high measurement accuracy.

Functional safety and device protection

The hardware of the CS22 D complies with the European Functional Safety Standard DIN EN 61508-2: 2011 (SIL). The housing is protected against the ingress of dust and water (protection class: IP54).

Communication and service

Signals are transmitted via the digital RS-485 interface (Modbus protocol). The CS22 D uses two status LEDs to indicate its operating status. Service and adjustments can be carried out on site with an intuitive built-in button interface (one-person adjustment). The multicolor backlit display shows the current measured value, status messages and the CC22 D's menu. Test gases for function tests can be inserted with a calibration adapter.
