CHEMetrics K-8503 Phosphate (Ortho) - Vacu-Vials Instrumental Kit

Kit K-8503 comes in a cardboard box and contains everything needed to perform 30 tests: thirty ampoules, 25 mL sample cup, ampoule blank, and instructions.

This kit requires the use of a CHEMetrics Direct-Readout Photometer or a spectrophotometer capable of accepting a 13 mm diameter round cell. Instrument sold separately.

Chemistry

In an acidic solution, ortho-phosphate reacts with ammonium molybdate and ammonium vanadate to produce a yellow colored complex in direct proportion to the phosphate concentration. Results are expressed in ppm (mg/L) phosphate as PO4. To convert results from ppm PO4 to ppm P, divide by 3.06.
