    • This is an infinity-corrected biological compound microscope with LED-based Koehler brightfield and darkfield illumination, and a low-noise USB camera for low-light imaging. The infinity-corrected optical system allows for introduction of inline-components without the limits of a finite tube-length. This includes episcopic illuminators, such as a fluorescence kit. The quintuple nosepiece provides quick access to five objective lenses (4X,10X,20X,40X,100X). The Plan achromatic objectives provide excellent correction for both chromatic abberation and field geometry. With the 10X wide-field eyepieces, the magnification ranges from 40X to 1000X. The Siedentopf head-design allows for compensation-free interpupillary-adjustment. Following Koehler illumination principles, the LED light-source provides bright, even illumination with a field-diaphragm for precision control.

    The addition of dry and oil darkfield condensers expands the versatility of this microscope by providing a means to view translucent and transparent specimens. The addition of an iris-controlled 100X objective allows for true darkfield at maximum magnification by way of adjustable numerical-aperture. This is an ideal instrument for clinics and labs, particularly in the field of blood-analysis.

    The 1.2MP USB2.0 digital camera is designed for extreme low-light performance. The cutting-edge, back-illuminated CMOS sensor provides ultra-high sensitivity, outperforming most CCD cameras, as well as providing faster capture speeds. It captures still images and video (up to 54fps at low-res, in bright-field), and allows you to view a live stream on your PC. With software available for Windows, Mac, and Linux, it's a multi-platform imaging solution. The included Windows software offers image-development and measurement tools, as well as advanced compositing features such as image-stitching and extended-depth-of-focus. Independent preview and capture resolutions allow you to view high-speed video while capturing high-definition images. For Mac and Linux, there is a lite version with limited processing features.
