AmScope Blue-band LED Epi-fluorescence Assembly for 670 Series Compound Microscopes

  • Episcopic fluorescence assembly for 670 Series microscopes
  • Modular design
  • Blue-band excitation: 465-475nm
  • Cool LED light-source does not require warm-up nor cool-down
  • Long lifetime vs arc lamps

This is a blue-band LED epi-fluorescence assembly for our 670 series compound microscopes. The assembly uses a modular design, with separate lamps for different excitation bands. The use of dedicated lamps for specific bands allows for greater efficiency. The major benefit of the LED light-source is the elimination of warm-up and cool-down periods associated with arc lamps. The low power-consumption, and lack of ballasting provide much greater longevity, as well as a lower operating temperature.

The 3-slot filter-holder allows for the addition of optional filter blocks, including green and ultra-violet. Because of the modular design, the appropriate color-band should be selected for the intended use. The included blue-band LED and filter-block are ideally suited for stains or natural fluorophores which absorb blue light and emit light in the green to red bands.
