AmScope D120 Series Advanced Student High-Magnification Dual-View Monocular Compound Microscope 40X-1000X Magnification

  • 40X to 1000X magnification range for studying a range of specimens including hair follicles, cells, and bacteria.
  • A second viewing port allows a second person to simultaneously view specimens, or adding a camera for streaming and recording photos and video. Perfect for online classes.
  • The microscope uses a simplified design with a 4-lens turret and a traditional layout which is beneficial for students and other first-time users.
  • An upgrade to the D100, this model adds a 100X objective lens for even higher magnification.
  • The built-in incandescent lamp provides bright, full-spectrum illumination to reduce eye strain.

The D120 is the perfect instrument for classrooms and remote learning. It offers dual monocular viewing ports which can be used by two simultaneous users or a single user and a camera, and a quadruple lens turret for four magnification settings. As a dual-user microscope in a classroom, a teacher can see what the student sees. This allows the student to be instructed while viewing a specimen. By using an optional camera on the second port, real-time video can be streamed to a computer and recorded, or used with popular video conferencing apps to provide remote streaming. This functionality is perfect for remote learning and professionals who need to share video with online peers.

The dual monocular head is somewhat unique, providing two viewing ports which can be used simultaneously. The main viewing port uses a simple design, requiring no adjustment. Simply use the standard 10X eyepiece or any other optional magnification and get to work. The second port is designed for a second user or a camera, and has height adjustment to ensure the focus matches the main port. The head can swivel 360° depending on your preferred working position.

The objective turret provides instant access to 4 magnification levels to easily focus in on minute details from 40X to 1000X. This covers magnifications needed for studying hair follicles, cells, and bacteria. These high-quality lenses are achromatically corrected to improve resolution and color accuracy.

The stage is equipped with two clips for holding slides and other specimens in place. The microscope uses independent focus knobs to control coarse and fine adjustments. An adjustable height-limit mechanism can be used to prevent the lenses from making contact with specimens, preventing damage to the lenses and glass slides. The microscope is equipped with bright incandescent illumination to light the specimen. The sub-stage lamp emits full-spectrum light with a warm color-temperature to limit strain on the eyes.
