Industrial Grade All Weather Protection For NovaStar® Taurus Series Multimedia Players

Designed to provide the ultimate protection for NovaStar® Taurus Series TB30, TB50 and TB60 Multimedia Players, this fan cooled enclosure is easy to install because no wiring is required. Simply mount the enclosure and plug the pre-wired 5 foot power cord into a nearby outlet. The aluminum equipment mounting plate features four pre-wired 120VAC power outlets for powering the NovaStar® multimedia players and any additional equipment installed in the enclosure such as a router. 

Get your project up and running quickly and transition to hard-wired later if needed. The power cord can be easily removed, and the quick-connect terminal strip simplifies hard-wiring by a qualified installer.

Plug and Play Setup

The NF14VFA1C-NVS1 enclosure provides easy plug-n-play installation. The equipment mounting plate is pre-drilled to except the NovaStar® multimedia player. Once the player is securely mounted to the plate, connect the power supply to the internal 120VAC power outlet. Cable glands on the enclosure allows cables to be connected to the device. Simply plug the enclosure's 5 foot power cord into an outdoor outlet and you are up and running. The generous size of this enclosure and extended lid provides space for additional equipment to be installed such as the Cradlepoint® IBR650B LTE router, cable modem or WiFi access point. This enclosure is compatible with the following NovaStar® Multimedia Players:

Fan Cooling with Thermostat Control

This enclosure features two 4" vents and a thermostat controlled cooling fan which helps maintain lower internal temperatures. The fan turns on when the internal temperature reaches 100°F (38°C) and turns off when it drops to 79°F (26°C). Rain shrouds keep rain water from entering the enclosure while allowing ventilation for installed equipment. The fan is wired internally, leaving all 4 power outlets available for installed equipment.

Extreme Protection Built to Last

This rugged JIC style NEMA box is molded from durable UV stable and corrosion resistant fiberglass reinforced polyester (FRP) with a UL94-5V flame rating. The FRP material is dent-proof, non-conductive and RF transparent for compatibility with wireless equipment. It can be easily drilled and modified by the installer as needed. It features a gasketed door with stainless steel continuous hinge and stainless steel quick release latches with padlock hasps.

Cable Glands

The enclosure features two unique PG-16 cable glands with a closed inner seal. One for a HDMI cable and the other for USB or Ethernet cables. They are installed in the open ports to maintain the NEMA rating of the enclosure when not in use. When required for use, simply punch a hole through the inner membrane, run your cables and tighten for a water-tight seal.
