Overview
- Breakaway Couplers are used with square, round, or u-channel posts as a breakaway system.
- Cast gray iron couplers are designed for both in-ground and surface mount applications
- Can be used with existing sign posts and anchors
- In-ground design simply inserts into an anchor post, then sign post slides on top and secures with four corner bolts (included)
- Approved by the Federal Highway Department and meets and exceeds the more stringent damage levels contained in the updated NCHRP Report 350
- At impact, the sign post breaks away and does not damage the anchor post
Breakaway Sign Post Couplers are used in conjunction with all standard square, round or u-channel sign posts as a breakaway system for small sign supports. These cast gray iron couplers are designed for both in-ground and surface mount applications and can be used with existing sign posts and anchors.
