The SE508 offers quick, hassle-free magnification for a wide range of applications including soldering, engraving, dissection, and repair. Its simplicity is its greatest strength, offering low-power stereo magnification and the incredible flexibility of a gooseneck in such a compact form. Especially popular in dental labs and workshops, it can fit in virtually any workspace without being obstructive.

The objective lenses provide 0.8X primary magnification, which is increased by the included 10X eyepieces to 8X. This can cover a wide range of subjects, like PCBs and small electronics, watches, coins, and biological or geological specimens. Adding optional, higher-power eyepieces can increase the magnification for more-detailed observation.

The gooseneck arm can be bent in any direction to position the head at the desired angle. The head has a revolving mechanism which allows it to be rotated 360° in order to re-orient the oculars. The weighted base provides all the stability necessary to prevent tipping over.

Monitor and capture photos and videos with the included 5MP digital eyepiece camera. The compact, lightweight camera can be used in place of an eyepiece to watch live images, and to record photos or videos on your computer. This ability to view microscopic images on your computer reduces eye-strain, and allows groups of people to view images at the same time. Our professional software for Windows provides a wide assortment of capture and photo-editing functions including color correction, time-lapse capture, image stitching, and a full complement of measuring tools. A lite version of our software is available for Mac and Linux with essential functionality for capturing photos and videos.

This package includes a dual-gooseneck illuminator for precision lighting. Two highly-flexible gooseneck arms allow you to position each 3W LED for optimal direction and localization. A single fader on the control unit allows you to easily adjust the light intensity. This style of lighting is ideal for observing textures, metals, and gemstones.
