Overview

AmScope MF Series 20.0MP USB 3.0 Temperature-regulated Color Back-illuminated CMOS C-Mount Microscope Camera

  • 20MP back-illuminated CMOS camera with temperature control
  • Higher quantum efficiency
  • Multi-platform software solutions
  • Includes calibration slide for on-screen measurements

The MF2003C-BI uses Sony's cutting-edge 20MP back-illuminated CMOS sensor for high resolution with high quantum-efficiency. It uses a 1" class sensor to maintain larger well-capacity at the high resolution. The inverted structure of the back-illuminated CMOS sensor places the photo-sensitive substrate of the sensor in front of the electronic components, further improving light-gathering ability. The chassis features a software-controllable thermoelectric cooling-system for regulating its temperature, minimizing noise during image-capture. These new design elements place the MF2003C-BI at the top of the microscopy-imaging market.

With a large 1-inch sensor, this camera is best-suited for microscopes with a direct C-mount interface. When using with a 23mm port, the RU100 C-mount lens is recommended to avoid vignetting.

With software available for Windows, Mac, and Linux, this camera package is a multi-platform imaging solution. The included Windows software offers image-development and measurement tools, as well as advanced compositing features such as image-stitching and extended-depth-of-focus. With the ability to calibrate scales at multiple magnifications, the software can be used for multi-level inspection. Independent preview and capture resolutions allow you to view high-speed video while simultaneously capturing high-definition images. For Mac and Linux, there is a lite version of the software which can capture video and still images, and includes limited processing features.
